A food blog dedicated to the Kansas City commercial photography studio - Alistair Tutton Photography

Shane Kucera: 360 Architecture

360 Architecture and I have developed a wonderful relationship over the last two years. Photographing their incredible architectural interiors is always a pleasure and they are a staple part of “How to do it right…” presentations.

“Alistair Tutton is efficient, talented and a pleasure to work with. He makes the process as stress-free as possible. From scouting, scheduling and coordinating, down to the minor details such as burnt out light bulbs, Alistair handles all aspects of the project and delivers excellent images. Whether it means a 3:00 a.m. set up to catch the ideal light or returning to a project to avoid construction equipment, we always know he will do whatever is needed to deliver high-quality work with a quick turnaround.”

“We are at all times confident we’ll receive images well worth the investment with Alistair.”

Boulevard Brewery - 360 Architecture

This time I got to photograph the interior and exterior of the Boulevard Brewery. It’s a fabulous building with the new extension designed by 360 Architecture. I got another chance to get on a cherry picker and conquer my fear of heights - always a good time!

AIA Artisan's Awards - 360 Architecture

360 Architecture called me in to cover their interior fixtures for the AIA Artisan’s Awards; it’s an award based on quality design and construction. We focused on their Mailbox and Harvest Table fixtures; I love them both but the shot of the Mailbox with Danny in front of it REALLY worked for me - thanks Danny for modeling as always!

Nara Lifestyle - 360 Architecture

Following up from the original shoot 360 Architecture had us add to their photographic portfolio in time for the latest AIA award submission. The best part was that we got to work with some people this time! A big thanks to the folk at 360 and Nara for working with us to capture some fantastic images.

Nara - 360 Architecture

Okay, I have no idea what Robata Sushi is, but Casey (Nara) is really cool and Tracey Sterns (360) designs cool stuff. So I loved photographing this breathtaking interior in shiny metropolis of downtown KC; plus I am head over heels in love with the exterior signage shots. A little tilt-shift action there. The restrooms are the big surprise.

Spin Pizza - 360 Architecture

One of the grooviest new restaurants in Kansas City. Spin Pizza is going from strength to strength with an incredible interior, fantastic branding and a super cool product. Lovely shoot, with an emphasis on shallow depth of field and natural lighting as well as some great staged and lit photographs.
